Preview of a couple of songs from Minako’s 2nd album “Tick” have been revealed on her radio (clips courtesy to this awesome yt channel):
“Flyaway” is your typical nice fast-paced song with inspirational lyrics, and “I wanna be my precious one” (great title lol) has a really different sound to her other songs. What do you guys think?
And of course, Music Star!!
I love love love love this song, it sounds so good and it was so much fun doing the recording with everyone in Kobe ^__^ She has really great musical sense and direction and great at leading the fans too. I remember getting the English lyrics wrong haha. I wonder which version will be put into the album, since she recorded the song in all the venues, not just the last one.
Tick comes out on the 17th of September. Get your copy now!!!! (I’ll just be promoting this album like mad for the next few weeks lol)
I’m always on her website but I can’t believe I missed her 2nd announcement for so long! Why isn’t she doing more fervent promos already!!

This is the best news I’ve heard for months!! I’ve been dying for her new album ever since her live in May!!! Music Star is amazing!!!
Wait, does this mean there won’t be a separate product for her concert? I don’t even have a blu-ray player but it looks like I have no choice but to buy this limited edition!! Are these tears from laughing or crying…
Mizuki Airlines’ final domestic flight has finally arrived at Yokohama Stadium!!!
There were three open-air stadiums during the tour, but the sky heard the wishes of Team Mizuki, and there was no rain(≧ω≦)ｂlol
The ultimate blue sky was watching over our stage today too! ☆☆☆
Wow, there’s so much I want to talk about, where should I begin…!? Lol
Anyway, it was just so much fun, it was out of this world!
“This miracle-like moment that can be found nowhere else, I want to feel it with every cell of my body!” That was the kind of stage I lost myself in!
This time’s tour started on the first of June, and the two months just flew by. There was honestly so much that happened.
I really can’t express in words the happiness of being able to safely re-commence the tour and arrive at the final stage together with everyone’s smile…
You made a stage that overflowed with dreams together with me.
Cherry Boys, Team Yoda, and everyone involved with the stage, lighting, instruments, props, SFX, flying, video, make-up and costumes, and all those who helped make this tour a success, I really, really, really, really thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to your support, love was overflowing, the best possible outcome.
The live is a treasure that I will not forget for the rest of my life. (*^-^*)
It might be cliché, but I really mean it, so please let me say it!
I’m so, so happy to have met such wonderful friends!!
Thank you so much for such a fantastic time!!!☆☆☆
Let’s do a lot of fun things together from now on too!!!!! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Uugh, at this rate it looks like I won’t be able to stop writing once I get started, so please let me tell you all about the contents of the live in my customary “After flight”!! (≧ω≦)ｂ
I’ve been pretty busy lately so I think I’ll be sticking to some smaller translations for a while. A bit late but I think I’d like to translate the “After flight” posts following the end of Nana’s LIVE FLIGHT tour. There’s quite a lot so I might group posts together but yeah look forward to them! I’m glad that Nana safely ended her tour!! Can’t wait to see what she’ll do next!! LOV U NANA….
Yesterday on the 13th, Nana participated in the FNS Summer Song Festival 2014 (FNSうたの夏まつり2014) and collaborated with prominent artists heavy metal singer Demon Kakka, and music veterans Kayama Yuuzou and Tokunaga Hideaki.
I really like these programs because Nana gets to sing a lot of great songs with a lot of great people and she always seems to have so much fun in all the performances. The program this year also featured other famous artists such as AKB48 and friends, T.M. Revolution, Kis-My-Ft2, Chris Hart, Suga Shikao, Momoiro clover Z, SMAP, May J and many others.
Setlist of 2014:
Desire -jounetsu- (1986) – Mizuki Nana x Demon kakka
Yume wo shinjite (1990) – Tokunaga Hideaki x Mizuki Nana
Aoi hoshikuzu (1966) – Kayama Yuuzou x Mizuki Nana
Last year she did collaborations with T.M.R, Nakagawa Shoko, Iwasaki Yoshimi and Hirahara Ayaka. Her cover of “Jupiter” with Ayaka last year was definitely the highlight of all her performances! I don’t think I can choose a favourite this year as I love yume wo shinjite and aoi hoshikuzu a lot and desire was so much fun.
I included a video of her performance with Hideaki in this post and you can find the rest of her perfomances on YouTube, although who knows for how long? Save them while you can!
I had the privilege of going to the Japanese pop culture convention SMASH! yesterday where Mitsuishi Kotono was a featured guest. I’m not really into conventions but I am a huge Sailor Moon fan and it was such an amazing day and I got so much more out of it than I ever expected!! Short report covering some of the stuff she said at her panels!
Note: You can see official minutes of the interview questions and answers at the JPFSydney twitter.
- She was in a really lovely purple kimono which she brought with her from Japan and had a lovely purple ornament in her hair, she looked lovely!!!
- It was her first time coming to Australia; she really wanted to visit Uluru but unfortunately Sydney and Uluru are in completely different areas. LOL she did get to try kangaroo meat though and is looking forward to meeting the koalas!
- She did live dubbing of Sailor Moon, Eva, Gundam Seed and One Piece
- Hearing her say “Moon prism power, make up!!!” was just so unbelievable!! Seeing her switch roles from clumsy innocent Usagi to the mature Misato and Murrue was amazing. She even did a small line from Ebichu!
- When asked about roles she would like to challenge, she said she would like to try playing a tomboyish character
- When asked if there’s any upcoming seiyuus that she has her eyes on, she said she doesn’t really know many newcomers but praised Satou Rina and Kamiya Hiroshi!!
- One time she and the other four inner senshi seiyuu had a sleepover party at Takeuchi Naoko’s house for little reason
- It was hard to get the character of Misato right according to Anno’s direction because he had a specific images of each of the characters in his head already but was bad at expressing those ideas so the staff of Eva were all very confused at how to approach their characters
- A line/moment she will never forget in her life is the scene in Sailor Moon S where Saturn awakens and a weakened Usagi is crying and frustrated because she can’t transform
- Signing tokens were limited and I’m so glad I got to the convention quite early and auto-piloted right to the booth where they were handing out the tokens.
- After the panel, she was on the phone talking to Miyamura Yuuko, the VA of Asuka, who currently lives in Melbourne. LOL
I’m sure many more detailed reports will be popping up on the Internet soon if they haven’t already. She’s also on today for another guest panel but I’m not able to go so I’ll just keep stalking the JPFSydney twitter to keep updated. Overall it was such a great experience and I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to meet her!!
After what seems like a hectic series of birthday celebrations, super voice actress Nabatame Hitomi announces that she has officially entered the family register. In other words, she got married! Congratulations!
Sorry to disappoint but photo was taken last October for the Precure movie.. not during her wedding ceremony lol.
Just the day before, Hitomi and Gotou Mai had a massive official birthday event. Hitomi’s birthday is August 4 and Mai’s is August 22. Judging from her blog, sending out the invitations was hectic but it looks like everyone had a good time! Apparently iPhone cases were the official event goodie haha
Hitomi and Mai with the organisers of the event
The very next day (I mean today) she celebrated her character Aida Mana’s (from Doki doki! Precure) birthday. All the main characters from Doki doki! Precure share the same birthday as their voice actresses. August 4 actually happens to land on the birthdays of several dokipre staff, including Hitomi, Terasaki Yuka (Raquel’s VA), as well as one of the producers Shibata Hiroaki. So all the dokipre staff and cast members celebrated together.
On the same day, Hitomi announced on her blog that she got married! Congrats!! Apparently her partner has a good personality and Hitomi herself is surprised that she was able to marry such a respectable person lol. She announced her marriage yesterday at the birthday event and thanked everyone for keeping quiet about it until the official blog announcement. Good work fans! Apparently some female fans were crying as if they themselves got married, lol. I understand, she is 38 this year, so I’m sure a lot of fans have been secretly worried for her……….. Including me…. LOL so I’m really happy for her!!
She said she’ll be continuing voicework from now on as well. May she have many happy days and many more roles ahead of her!! Woop woop!
